Willow Farm Pool & Homes Association
Home Association Meeting Minutes May 9, 2000
Location: Pool Cabana
Attendees:The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.
Secretary Activities
Reviewed and approved the March 2000 boards minutes.
Financial Review
We currently have $14,670 in checking, $43,688 in the money market account and $6,461 in the long-term fund. We have 24 association members who have not paid this year annual dues.
We have one family that owes approximately $2,918.50. Our lawyer is in contact with them and is going to set up a payment plan of $217.50 per month beginning in June. If they miss a payment the board has authorized our lawyer to proceed garnishment of wages. The board offered to work with the family last year by setting up a payment plan and reducing some of the penalties, but the family never responded to the request from the board.
Pool Activity
Fred has hired the pool staff for the season.
The pool will open May 27th and start full time operations on June 2nd once is out for the summer. The pool letter will be mailed around May 16th with the pool key.
We have added electrical outlets to the cabana. The pool has been patched and painted. It will be filled with water next Monday.
The swim team has requested the addition of shelves to the boy's restroom. The board approved letting them do this. The swim team will have their awards ceremony on July 23rd.
The workday for the pool area will be May 20th. One load of mulch will be ordered.
A bid of $2,160 was made to have the floor of the cabana resurfaced with a stone epoxy material. The board accepted this bid. This should alleviate some of the water damage we have been having from water seepage from the floor of the cabana into the restrooms and pump room below the floor.
Grounds Review
The tennis courts will be resurfaced and new posts put in sometime this month. Bruce is having a new sign made for the use and regulations on the tennis courts. The cost should be around $110.
New Business
One business has signed up to be a sponsor on our Web site.
Anthony and Dave are going to check on getting a portable speed sign that will let motorists know how fast they are traveling on Lydia. We hope to have this for a couple of days throughout the summer.
The meeting was adjourned around 8:30.
