Secretary Activities

Reviewed and approved the February 2000 boards minutes.

Pool Activity

At this time Fred has hired 5 individuals plus the manager for the summer pool season. More will be hired before the season begins

The 20th of May will be the cleanup day around the pool. The board will meet with the lifeguard staff at 9:00 a.m. that morning. This will be so the pool staff knows all the board members.

By email vote, the board approved hiring Oasis Pools to do some work on the pool. They will drain, acid wash, patch & plaster, paint and start up the system.

We received one bid for some electrical work. The works is to replace a 100-amp panel, run conduit and install two circuits in the cabana, and run diagnostics on the pump. The bid was for $1470. The board decided to get more bids as we felt this was high for the work that needs to be done.

Grounds Review

By email vote, the board approved having repairs made to the tennis courts. The cracks will be repaired on the court and be repainted.

Received two bids for a new sign on the tennis courts. One for $355 and the other for $620. The board is going to check around some more for other alternatives.

The board approved a bid to have 5 trees removed from the greenway that have blown down.

Dumpsters have been ordered for the cleanup weekend for the neighborhood and for the pool for the summer season.

Financial Review

As of February 29th we had $1461 in checking, $11,569 in the money market account and $6435 in the long-term fund.

All board members signed the new bank signature cards.

New Business

The new website, www.willowfarm.org went online on February 28th, 2000. The board discussed ideas about getting businesses to use our website for a fee. It is hoped we can support the cost of the website in this manner. At the current time it is $20 a month to host the site.
