Secretary Activities

Reviewed and approved the June 10, 2000 boards minutes.

Grounds Review

We have decided to cancel the contract with the company that was to resurface the tennis courts as we cannot get them to return phone calls or faxes to give a date to start and complete the job. We will look for a new contractor and solicit new bids.

A tree was removed from the greenway near Highland for a cost of $300. It had blown over and was against another tree about to fall on an adjoining homeowner’s property.

We are going to contact the company that did the cabana floor. Fred thought a couple of places might be flaking off. We will have them make sure it does not need to be repaired.

Pool Activity

A valve has been leaking. Fred has ordered parts to repair or replace it.

The pool season is going well this year. No major problems with water quality compared to last year.

We discussed security issues around the pool. We had all of the plastic chairs stolen this year and have had some minor vandalism, such as all the furniture being thrown into the pool and broken bottles, etc. Discussed getting a motion sensor siren and lights. Chuck is going to check onto this to get an idea of the cost involved. Also discussed putting up rose bushes in strategic areas to make it more difficult to climb the fence.

Had a lot of discussion around the swim teams use of the pool. We have not been paid for the use of the pool this year. We have not received a list of swim team members with addresses as promised. Have had complaints from people who live near the pool about the trash after the swim meets. Had people park in the grass on the greenway at the last swim meet. The Dumpster gets filled and has required extra pickup from Deffenbaugh at Home Association expense.

Fred is going to contact the swim team to discuss these issues and see if they will get someone to police the area for trash, etc.

New Business

The bylaws change to allow fines to be assessed has been completed. This will be voted on at the annual meeting per the motion made at last years annual meeting. A copy will be sent with the annual meeting notice.

Approval given to Jeff and Angie Geyer to add a front porch deck.

Approval given to Thomas Montelongo to add a chain link fence.

A motion was made and seconded to accept Bill Brenner’s roof. The motion passed. They had not gotten prior approval to change the roof from the board.

The meeting was adjourned around 9:00 P.M.
