Willow Farm Pool & Homes Association
Home Association Meeting Minutes September 14, 2000
Location: 9612 N. Lydia
The meeting was called to order at 7:00 PM.
Secretary Activities
Reviewed and approved the June 29, 2000 boards minutes.
Grounds Review
Mowing has been minimal during August and the first part of September due to the dry weather.
The tennis court repairs were done. Charles Bruns is going to contact the contractor regarding the crack starting to sink again. It was a large crack and may be caused by the dry weather. We hope to get some information from the contractor as to a possible cause and if anything can be done. Overall the feedback has been very positive on the repairs.
Pool Activity
A chlorinator valve broke during August. We were able to continue the pool operations through the end of the season. The part has been ordered but has not arrived. Some lights and a drain also need to be repaired before next year's swim season.
We discussed security issues around the pool. The lifeguard stand was stolen this summer. Again discussed ideas to improve the security at the pool. Need to get some cost estimates to raise the fence, check on security camera's or possibly adding landscaping that might discourage people from climbing over the fence such as rose bushes or holly.
Financial Review
We have $2,167.87 in our checking account, $20,407.33 in the Money Market account and $6,499.57 in the long-term fund account as of 8/31/00.
The budget is in good shape right now. We under budget for the pool, grounds and common expenses. Common expenses include accounting, insurance, supplies, telephone, utilities, web site, etc.
New Business
The bylaws change to allow fines to be assessed will be voted on at the annual meeting per the motion made at last years annual meeting. A copy will be sent with the annual meeting notice.
We are gong to schedule a meeting with the swim team board to discuss issues regarding the use of the pool.
Discussed members who have not paid in full either the annual dues or the penalties that were assessed. Notices have been sent to all of them.
Discussed adding more information to the Web site. The annual garage sale information also needs to be added.
The meeting was adjourned around 8:30 P.M.
